Hi! My name is Jackie!

Actually, it’s not… I dislike my given name, so I’m seriously considering taking $500 to my local courthouse and legally changing it to match my new perspective on life. Besides, my name was incredibly popular the year I was born and there are too many of us running around… I also go by the monicker “kitsu”, so that works, too… Anyway, I’m an artist (as you can see) who dabbles in a lot of different media. I also write short stories and have been working on my own manga for some years, now. I’m kind of having a mental block on that, so it’s been shelved for the time being. I also have other hobbies like baking, knitting, reading, playing piano (and soon the guitar). I’m a nerd who loves sci-fi, horror, anime and manga. I love Japanese culture, including music. And you probably won’t find anyone who knows so much about obscure music or loves vinyl quite as much as yours truly.

I was born a hippie (I wrote an entry about that, actually) though my parents were far from it. I was always a free-spirit, a wild child. I lost my way for a bit, but I’ve gotten back in touch with my hippie roots and am much happier for it.

I suffer from bipolar disorder, anxiety, OCD and I’m a germaphobe. And, in certain aspects, I’m a bit of a sociopath. Mental illness is certainly not fun and is difficult to deal with sometimes, but I try my best. I’ve been improving since finding my hippie roots again.

I’m also quite random. A lot of my entries are about random things that no one in their right minds would ever write about let alone analyze like I do… on occasion… on a lot of occasions… So sometimes my entries are just my mind pouring itself out into my blog. It’s sometimes a scary place to be, in my mind… But it’s okay; we’ll take the ride together.
